How to make your Priorities Stickier

This is often a topic for January- how to make the new year soooo much better/ different/ healthier than the last.

Our January good intentions / aspirations don't often last long when they run up against reality.  We're left with shame, frustation, then we ignore the subject as much as possible, usually to our detriment.

When we rely on willpower, we often fail, flop, fizzle.

How to create change then?

This article by Robert Glazer talks about using your environment, not your willpower, to make change.

The Feb 9, 2025 episode of 10% Happier covers 9 Ways to Break Free from Habits that are Holding You Back.  Guest Dr Chatterjee also talks about how to sort through information, when to rely on yourself, not the experts, to make decisions- I love that part of the episode.  My experience and expertise is valuable to clients.  And I still run multiple scenarios for variables that don't usually work....because there is always a case where that strategy is the one that will get you the outcome you need and want.  Customized planning means that I don't template your plan; we switch stratgies based on you; and there's always more than one way to get to a goal.
