I use note-taking software during meetings, to accurately transcript conversations, decisions and next steps. Zocks is designed for financial planners, has the level of security that matters to me and gives addtional control on how the information is managed.
To exchange information, like the documents that clients send me to build their plans and the planning and recommendations that I send back to cliens, I use Sharefile, because of the security level and features, and data storage parameters.
I use Snap Projections for projections for my clients. The flexibility and graphics are important to clarify both current situation and recommended changes.
Depending on the questions that need answering, I also often use:
Monarch Money: for tracking and sorting income & expenses. The cost is covered for clients who are actively planning with me.
Wealthscope: for analyzing investments, assessing volatility and reviewing potential changes in asset allocation.
Monte Carlo Anaylsis: for clients who are close to retirement, drawing on their savings or need to understand the impact of investment return volatility on their goals
